Tiffaney Gibbons LPC-S

Hi, my name is Tiffaney, and I am an experienced licensed professional counselor supervisor (LPC-S). I am enthusiastic about being authentic and real with my clients to create an encouraging environment for exploration and growth. I believe in the power of choice, and my goal as a counselor is to provide support and guidance to empower you in your decisions. My focus is on progress not perfection and becoming ok with being perfectly imperfect.

I am an EMDR Certified therapist because I believe in the power of EMDR. My go to word to describe this modality is weird and you will also come to experience this. EMDR allows the body to change how the world around you affects your body and mind. In a way it allows you to heal from the inside out. EMDR is an 8 phase, 3 prong approach that focuses not just on the past and present but also what you want to see for your future.

I have had the honor of collaborating with individuals from all walks of life, from individuals struggling with stress overload, to individuals with a history of severe trauma. Working at a Partial Hospitalization Program gave me the best experience, education, and understanding of mental illness. Over the past few years, private practice has allowed me to support individuals through everyday life struggles, major stresses, developmental stages and adjusting to changes the pandemic has caused.

I work with adults with a wide range of diagnosis and circumstances. Recently, I have had the honor to have worked with first responders, active-duty military/veterans, and their families. This has become a passion of mine because the service person gives a lot of themselves to our society and in return so does the service person's family. Within this demographic there are a lot of situations and changes that can take a toll. This can cause an adjustment period of being overwhelmed, confused, and/or angry.

I look forward to collaborating with you and providing insight and guidance through this time of your life.

If a larvae can become a caterpillar

If a caterpillar can become a butterfly

Imagine what you can become

If you allow yourself to change
